The aircraft have varying types of meter that incur charges in different ways (from the owners to us). We don´t want our customers paying more than they should. So here is a brief guide to the equipment in each aircraft, how it works, how our charging is calculated for customers and how to minimise flight costs.
Minimise Time on the Ground
Minimise your time on the ground, complete checks without delay and only fuel the aircraft by getting the wagon to the aircraft or on your way to departure. This is most important with aircraft that meters turning on master switch on or engine on.
G-BAHF
This aircraft has a Datcom. A type of hobbs meter that in this case is active from when the engine is running. This aircraft is charged to customers based on the datcom reading plus 0.1.
G-BXSD
Has a Datcom, which is a type of hobbs and as soon as the master switch is turned on the meter is running, the engine does not need to be started. So when doing checks only leave the master switch on where electrical power is needed e.g. to check lights etc. This aircraft is charged to our customers based on the datcom reading.
G-CINA
This aircraft has an air hobbs, which will not run until you are in the air. Charged to the customer based on block off/on time.
G-BOMS / G-BUJN
These aircraft have a standard tachometer, and are charged to customers based on block on/off time.
G-BSZV
This aircraft is charged at block off/on times.
