Prior to departure we’ll have a pre-flight briefing and hot drinks. Please note that the return time is approximate.
If you are a student but want to fly we can try to pair you with an instructor. If we have more pilots that want to fly than planes then it may be possible that one takes the outbound flight and the other the return flight, for example.
Bringing Family & Friends
These events are primariy for members and pilot´s must be members. However, it may be possible to bring family and / or friends as passengers. It is essential to check with the office prior to booking as we must give priority to members.
For this trip we will be using G-CINA (1 seat, licensed or student), G-BOMS (up to 3 seats, licensed or student), G-BAHF (up to 2 seats, licensed or student) and GLGAN (up to 3 seats, licensed only).
Both passengers and pilots must book a ticket. Please check with the office before booking to see what is available and get assigned an aircraft. The booking fee goes toward the cost of the flight. Additional costs incurred in the flight e.g. due to fuel will need to be paid on landing back at Coventry and are shared between the people on the aircraft. Once you have arranged with the office you should pay the deposit above on the same day. We do not guarantee to hold places any longer.
CancellationsThese events take some co-ordination to go smoothly therefore the following terms apply.Pilots – if you have to cancel, we are in a situation where we may need to turn away passengers if we cannot organise another pilot. Therefore we require a minimum of 48 hours notice from the start of the event. If you have to cancel within 48 hours of the start of the event no refund will be given. Furthermore if you arrive too late for the briefing you may not be able to fly as this is required for safety reasons, and in this situation no refund will be offered.Passengers – in the event we are unable to let you fly e.g. due to pilot illness, we shall offer a full refund of the booking deposit. We shall also do our best to notify you of a cancellation as soon as possible. No refunds will be offered if you turn up too late for the departure.If we have to cancel due to weather for example passengers and pilots will receive a full refund of the booking deposit. It is therefore very important to call us if you are running late on the day, especially if you are designated as a pilot to be fair to others taking part who may have other commitments to get to after. We will do our best to accommodate you but it cannot be guaranteed.
