Steve heads our team of flight instructors providing instruction and examinations for PPL & LAPL students. He can also provide instruction for Night Rating, SEP Re-validation and Aerobatics rating. Steve is also a flight and theory examiner for the CAA theory exams and skills tests required for the issue of a PPL, LAPL. In addition to ab initio instruction he is an FIC Instructor providing instruction for the issue of the FI certificate.
Starting his aviation career in 2003 as part of a 14-year period with the Air Cadets. In 2013 he obtained his PPL with Almat Flying Club as it was then called. Completing his aerobatic rating shortly after.
Steve has flown on many trips around the UK and abroad and enjoys the challenge of flying in controlled airspace where possible. When not instructing at Almat Steve works within the operations department of a large UK airline.
