Coventry Airport is our Head Office from where we deliver all the services advertised on this website. Including trial lessons, experiences, PPL & LAPL courses, PPL & LAPL theory instruction & exams, FRTOL courses & examinations, Zero to CPL ready, Flight Instructor, Class Rating Instructor Courses and Ratings including SEP renewal / revalidation, Night and Instrument Rating (Restricted).

With the facilities of a large commercial airport and without the congestion, it is the perfect place for anyone wanting to learn to fly, get a pilot licence or just indulge their flying passion.

By Train

Coventry Railway Station is just 3 miles from the Coventry Airport. Taxis are available from the railway station. Ask for Airport West, general aviation not the passenger terminal. Bus 24 or 25 can also be used to get to Baginton Village. It is then a short walk from the village to Coventry Airport West.

By Air

On landing inform ATC that you are visiting Almat Flying Academy. You will be directed to the Dakota apron. Make your way through the gate and enter Dakota House. Upon entering you will find Almat Flying Academy on the left hand side of the lobby.

By Bus

Bus 24 or 25 depart every hour from both Pool meadow bus station in central Coventry and Coventry Train Station to Baginton Village. It is then a short walk from the village to Coventry Airport West.

By Car

From the North-West 

From the M6, leave at junction 2 and follow signs for A46 Coventry & Leamington, Continue on the A46 until you reach the exit for Bagington Airport (Toll Bar Island). Follow signposts for airport North & West , taking the right filter at the traffic lights after the island (Rowley Road). Upon reaching the new roundabout on the Rowley Road turn left. Follow the road until reaching the entrance to the airport on the lefthand side. After turning into the airport follow the road round to the left keeping the parked couches on the left hand side. Upon seeing the red and grey building turn right and park in the lower car park. Proceed to the pedestrian gate and press the intercom and we will be happy to let you in!

From the North-East

From the M1, leave at junction 21 and follow the M69, this road turns into the A46, continue on this until you reach the roundabout with the A45 (Toll Bar). Follow signposts for airport North & West , taking the right filter at the traffic lights after the island (Rowley Road). Upon reaching the new roundabout on the Rowley Road turn left. Follow the road until reaching the entrance to the airport on the lefthand side. After turning into the airport follow the road round to the left keeping the parked couches on the left hand side. Upon seeing the red and grey building turn right and park in the lower car park. Proceed to the pedestrian gate and press the intercom and we will be happy to let you in!

From the South-West

From the M5 leave at junction 9 and follow the signs for A46 Evesham, continue A46 past Stratford-upon-Avon, at the flyover with the M40 continue on A46, at the junction with the A45 turn right and follow signs for Rugby until you reach the roundabout with the A45 (Toll Bar). Take the 5th exit at the roundabout. Follow signposts for airport North & West, taking the right filter at the traffic lights after the island (Rowley Road). Upon reaching the new roundabout on the Rowley Road turn left. Follow the road until reaching the entrance to the airport on the lefthand side. After turning into the airport follow the road round to the left keeping the parked couches on the left hand side. Upon seeing the red and grey building turn right and park in the lower car park. Proceed to the pedestrian gate and press the intercom and we will be happy to let you in!

From the South-East

From the M40 leave at junction 15, follow the A46 towards Coventry. At the junction with the A45 turn right and follow signs for Rugby until you reach the next roundabout with the A45 (Toll Bar). Take the 5th exit at the roundabout. Follow signposts for airport North & West, taking the right filter at the traffic lights after the island (Rowley Road). Upon reaching the new roundabout on the Rowley Road turn left. Follow the road until reaching the entrance to the airport on the lefthand side. After turning into the airport follow the road round to the left keeping the parked couches on the left hand side. Upon seeing the red and grey building turn right and park in the lower car park. Proceed to the pedestrian gate and press the intercom and we will be happy to let you in!

From the South

From the M1 leave at junction 17, follow the M45 and A45 towards Coventry. At the roundabout with the A46 (Toll Bar), take the second exit. Follow signposts for airport North & West, taking the right filter after leaving the roundabout at the traffic lights after the island (Rowley Road). Upon reaching the new roundabout on the Rowley Road turn left. Follow the road until reaching the entrance to the airport on the lefthand side. After turning into the airport follow the road round to the left keeping the parked couches on the left hand side. Upon seeing the red and grey building turn right and park in the lower car park. Proceed to the pedestrian gate and press the intercom and we will be happy to let you in!
