Simon has been Managing Director of Almat Flying Academy since he founded the business in 2018. He first went flying back in 2005 as a birthday present — and caught the bug. After several attempts at pursuing a PPL didn’t work out, Simon finally completed his LAPL Licence in 2018. That experience shaped how he built the business: Almat is designed to help people get their pilot’s licence more easily than he did.
Simon’s focus is the business side of Almat — running day-to-day operations and delivering Free Consultations to potential students himself.
In his spare time, he DJs and plays the guitar — and has two budding pilots in the making, in the form of his twin boys.
